The kids are back in school and the weather is changing quickly. I could really get used to this (little bit) cooler weather! Fall I think is the best part of the year. My hubby isn’t getting too antsy to get into the field yet, but I’m sure it will happen soon (he has been too busy with his cattle at the fair’s)!
This month I wanted to talk about Fall Trends. Why not get a jump-start on your wardrobe and see what exciting pieces you can add to what you already have!
Believe it or not, if you want to make sure that you rock the hottest combination, think about navy blue and black. Those seem to be the colors that you do not want to mix, but this is the season to pull it off!
If you aren’t daring enough to try that look, why not try the new black which happens to be the color burgundy. Designers like this color because it has a luxurious and elegant feel to it. If you think about it, it really could be paired up with many colors like gray, black, white, khaki and many more.
If you don’t mind having prints in your wardrobe, the hottest one that you can think about is the reptile prints. They aren’t saying that other prints are going out, but the reptile seems to be the one that’s popping out for fall this year. Leggings are still in and trust me, you might be seeing some crazy prints in those too!
Another new look for the season is over-sized pockets. This seems to be showing up on clothing, on purses, jackets and a lot of other places. Just make sure you feel comfortable wearing a trend before you try to rock it out!
If you would like to make sure that you stay on top of the fashion list for men, make sure that you go for the traditional hats to keep warm. During this time you should go for the fedoras, basic ski caps, and newsboy hats.
Pulling off leather is also a big hot item for men. Once again, it doesn’t have to be the expensive “real” stuff! They have so many budget friendly pieces out there anymore.
Layering is one of the major trends of this season. One of the best items to be thinking about when it comes to layering is the vest. This item can be used over a sweater that you thought you could never layer and so you will be warm and fashionable at the same time. One of the most important things to keep in mind is to pair the items so you don’t ruin your style. For example if you have a chunky sweater, you should also have a chunky vest (but don’t get too big).
Sometimes all it takes is to step a little outside your comfort zone, and more times than not, someone is going to notice that you are the new fashionista!!
Until next time,
